I finally got to try out this carrier. It's easy to put together, basically you just unfold it, zip the bottom, put the board/cushion bottom in, slide in the brace, and buckle the straps to your handlebars. The brace keeps the basket bottom straight, I used two short pieces of rope to tie it in place over the front forks so it wouldn't swing too much which helped alot. Now for the exciting part. I have 2 rat terriers, they both weigh about 11 to 12 lbs. If your dog is any larger, I don't recommend this carrier. My one dog (he cooperated, my other wanted nothing to do with this carrier, he made it perfectly clear he prefers to do his riding in the car) fit about as snug as possible. It has a short adjustable lead and clip attached to hook to your dogs harness or collar. I would recommend a harness if you think your dog may jump out and hang himself- bad for him and you could wipe out! The carrier has two strap handles, I tucked my dogs little head through each one to make him more secure. I walked the bike around with him in the carrier so he could get used to it. It also takes a little bit of getting used to when steering once you're riding, the basket does not get in the way at all, but the added weight on your handlebars makes a difference when you are steering. But it isn't much of a hindrance, you get used to it. I'm not sure if Nemo enjoyed the ride, he was a bit nervous, but I think he'll let me try it again. He seemed to enjoy it a bit. If you like to take your dog with you and you think he'd enjoy the ride, this is a nice carrier. It even has pockets to put your keys or a waterbottle, doggie doo bags, etc. It's made of a nice material for easy cleanups. Nice item over all.
