I really can't blame the description of this item as it did give dimensions, but it was alot smaller than I expected. First, item quality. It appeared to be well made and actually bamboo (based on the smell and texture). Weave spacing was good and unless you were putting very small items in it, will not fall out between the weave. Now the size. Not as big as a dinner plate and the roundness and depth of the thing seemed to make it smaller (did not measure diameter to check for accuracy). I bought this mainly for drying plums (umiboshi) and this was way too small for that purpose.It's too big to put into the sink. So, using it is a little akward.
